Miami’s Best Eats and Drinks This Week: Avocado Toast and a Craft Beer Dinner

Thanks to Martin Luther King Day, it’s a busy but short week. If you haven’t tried Threefold Cafe’s avocado toast, today is the day. Food delivery app Caviar has expanded its delivery and restaurant options, which means you can have the bread-and-avocado dish and much more sent straight to your home or office. Then treat yourself at night with Seaspice’s fig tart, the restaurant’s dessert of the month. Celebrate making it halfway through the week at GK Bistronomie’s newly launched happy hour. End the week at BLT Prime for a paired craft beer dinner with M.I.A. Brewing. 

Tuesday 

Expanded Delivery Options at Caviar 
Caviar, a restaurant delivery service, has expanded delivery options to Coral Gables. Local favorites such as Caffe Abbracci and Threefold Cafe are now available on the app to customers in the Miami area. Other new partners include Crema, Green Berry, and GreenLife Organic Bistro. Fig Tart at Seaspice 
Every month, Seaspice’s executive pastry chef, Jill Montinola, creates a unique, handcrafted dessert for diners. January’s specially made sweet is a strawberry ice-cream-inspired fig tart. Montinola uses wild strawberry gelato, Black Mission figs, and lemon curd to create the dish. It will be offered through the end of the month.

Wednesday 

Happy Hour at GK Bistronomie
GK Bistronomie has launched happy hour daily from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Specials at the Peruvian-inspired eatery include craft cocktails for $5 and all beers and select wines half off regular price. A variety of bar bites will also be available for purchase. 

Thursday 

Paired Craft Beer Dinner at BLT Prime
BLT Prime Miami will partner with local beermaker M.I.A. Brewing for a five-course dinner featuring seasonal beers from the Doral-based brewery and taproom. BLT Prime’s chef de cuisine, Dustin Ward, selected the beers and created a seasonal menu designed to complement each. Miami Herald food editor Evan Benn will host the event, which begins at 7 p.m. Expect the one-night-only menu to include tuna sashimi, foie gras, braised pork shoulder, and short ribs. The cost is $75 per person. Reservations are required. Call 305-591-6066.
