Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Miami. Super Bowl. 2010. February 3, Man vs. Food’s Adam Richman will broadcast live from Miami’s Don Shula steakhouse at the Alexander Hotel on Miami Beach to take on a mammoth 48-oz. cut of meat. That’s 4 pounds 3 pounds.
View the above video for Richman’s appearance on today’s Paul and Young Ron morning radio show where he explains the regimen that prepares him to gorge to his full potential.
Richman claims an extraordinary vigilance in regards to his health and a usual diet of things like “oatmeal and egg whites every morning, salad with protein, granola bars, supplements, and weight shakes during non shooting time.” Sounds like a lot of work to be a professional fat ass.
Richman also talks about why cities with heavy, first generation immigrant populations provide “the most authentic foods from all over the world.”
