Hogzilla’s Inspired Barbeque, the restaurant named after a mythical giant pig/beast has closed. The South Beach restaurant, which opened the first week of November, 2011, was confirmed closed — at least for now.

During a visit to the restaurant back in November our critic, Lee Klein, called Hogzilla, “a fun place with an intriguing and promising menu”.

A call to the restaurant confirmed that Hogzilla is closed this

weekend, but will reopen with new management behind it — possibly as

early as early next week.

No word yet as to menu changes or even if the giant hog/beast is staying on as a consultant.
