The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
Thanksgiving is over and you’re on to bigger and better proteins — namely pork.
Which is why you’re going to want to head out to the third annual P.I.G.: Pork is Good, the one-day-only pop-up celebration of pork.
This Sunday, November 27, GastroPod and Ms. Cheezious will be serving up a porkcentric menu at a warehouse location at 210 NE 65th St., Miami. The indoor/outdoor event will feature food from these two trucks, dessert by Coolhaus, and cocktails from Bar Labs talented mixologists.
GastroPod’s chef Jeremiah shared a few items from the menu,
which includes Bacon wrapped plantains ($5), Benton’s Ham Fried Rice
($6), and Porchetta ($9). All items (including cocktails) are ala carte.
Live music will be provided by Cog Nomen. There’s no cover and
no reservations are required — just bring a piggish appetite. The
festivities run from 4 p.m. to whenever.
