Congrats to David Mokha, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’ wine director, for being named Sommelier of the Year by Food & Wine magazine. Mokha’s nod was aimed specifically at his work with Hakkasan’s wine program — when it comes to pairing grapes with intricate Cantonese cuisine, Mokha can (think how many contrasting flavors end up on the table during a typical meal here).
David currently oversees the wine program for all restaurants at the Fontainebleau. More proof that Hakkasan is one of this city’s real gems.
