While everyone’s buzzing about these ten hot events at this year’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF), the savviest SOBEWFF-goers are quietly locking in seats at the festival’s most intimate dinners. These are the evenings where chefs slow things down a little and talk about what’s on the plate, sometimes pulling up a chair right next to ya. Less shoulder-to-shoulder hoopla, more “remember that dish?” moments.

Plus, these dinners feature chefs from some of South Florida’s hottest restaurants, including Raheem Sealey of Drinking Pig BBQ and Clay Conley of the highly anticipated Buccan in Coral Gables.

With the 25th annual SOBEWFF coming to town this Thursday, February 19, through Sunday, February 22, a handful of standout intimate dinners still have tickets available… and they’re some of the weekend’s most compelling experiences. Below are five of our favorites that still have tickets available.

BBQ Dinner hosted by Rodney Scott and Raheem Sealey

This is not your average SOBEWFF dinner, y’all. And that’s exactly the point. At Shiso Wynwood, legendary pitmaster Rodney Scott teams up with Miami’s Raheem Sealey for a barbecue-forward evening that celebrates live fire, smoke, and all the soul. It’ll be casual in spirit but very serious in execution – a welcome contrast to the festival’s more buttoned-up affairs and a reminder that some of the best meals happen around the flames. 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 21 at Shiso Wynwood, 239 NW 28th St., Miami; sobewff.org/shiso. Tickets are $345.
