Just months after Daniel’s Miami was ranked the ninth-best steak restaurant in North America, it’s now ranked among the world’s best.
Daniel’s Miami has just debuted at No. 40 on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list for 2026. The ranking, announced on Tuesday, March 24, by London-based Upper Cut Media House, marks a big win for the restaurant. How so? It’s only been open for nine months. Plus, Daniel’s is currently the only restaurant in Florida included on this year’s global list.
The ranking is not a popularity contest. The list relies on “Steak Ambassadors” who visit restaurants undercover to evaluate them on nine different criteria, including meat quality, the variety of cuts offered, service expertise, and the depth of the wine program.
The Steakhouse Hierarchy
Ranking at No. 40, Daniel’s sits alongside renowned spots like Niku Steakhouse in San Francisco and Gwen in Los Angeles. Additionally, Daniel’s Miami holds the Global Meat Standard Certification from The Beef Advocate. It’s the first and only U.S. location to earn this designation, which recognizes transparency in animal welfare, provenance, and aging processes.
The steak program at Daniel’s, overseen by culinary director Daniel Ganem, is built on partnerships with ranches across the world. The program features premium cuts from producers, including Mayura Station in South Australia and Cape Grim in Tasmania. Additionally, it sources from Rosewood Ranch in Texas and DemKota in South Dakota.
Locally, the kitchen sources from Florida ranches, including Suwannee River Wagyu, Providence Cattle, and Arrowhead Beef. One of the restaurant’s key service features is a tableside prime rib cart, available at both Daniel’s locations.

About Daniel’s & What’s Next
Operated by Thomas Angelo and his daughter, Kassidy Angelo of Gioia Hospitality Group, the restaurant took over the former Fiola Miami space in July 2025. This move followed the success of their first location, Daniel’s A Florida Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale. Their Fort Lauderdale location was recently named the best steakhouse in Florida by Tasting Table.
The space was refurbished to include Daniel’s Bar, a high-end sports bar area with multiple TVs that mirrors the setup at their Fort Lauderdale outpost. Meanwhile, the Gioia team is moving forward with La Sponda, an upscale waterfront restaurant at Vita at Grove Isle. That project is expected to debut later this year.
