The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
The Burger Beast threw a National Hamburger Month party at Q American Barbeque last night. Despite an evening thunderstorm that dropped lighting from Buena Vista west, a crowd still came through eat, and have drinks.
The menu featured a whole lotta burgers, like The Benedict, with Canadian bacon, fried egg, hollandaise and capers, or The No Secret, drenched in baked pit beans, chili sauce and crushed fritos.
The special Beast menu offered nine crazy burgers total including a vegetarian Shroom-A-Touille, and a tuna burger. The rest were all 10 to 20 ounces of “all natural, no steroid, no hormone, no crack, real beef” according to Chef Eismann.
Each item had a drink option like a cortadito with the Media Noche Burger, or a shot of tequila with the South of The Border.
