The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
There’s a new game in town for Miamians on the hunt for baked goods. Welcome BSweet Bakery, a cozy little eatery tucked away in the Design District.
This new spot, doors down from Egg & Dart, will be offering baked goods, sandwiches and soups – as far as we can tell from peeking in their window, anyway.

While the bakery was closed when we stopped by on a Sunday morning, when we looked inside, we saw several simple wooden tables, counter space for croissants, cold drinks chilling in a fridge and a chalkboard listing soup and sandwich specials.
While there’s no phone number listed as of yet — and listing in the state Department of Business and Professional Regulation website, the spot is located at 20 NE 41st St. for anyone who wants to stop by and scope it out. The sign is easy to miss, so be on the lookout should you pass by.
