Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
Ever wanted to brew your own beer? Hey, many great brewers made their own beer at home before making it big. Why not you? We could use a few more locally made beers around here anyway.
Fertile Earth Foundation is hosting a beer-making class this Sunday, March 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Earth N Us Farm in Little Haiti. You and your wannabe-brewer classmates will make a 5-gallon batch of beer under the direction of Zach Krochina, and you’ll learn other beer-making essentials to ensure that your beer actually tastes good.
Bring six empty bottles with the labels off so you can store the tasty suds. Cost for the class is $45 until March 20 and $55 at the event. Register through the PayPal link here. Earth N Us Farm is located at 7630 NE 1st Avenue; 786-253-2222.
