99. Leek Soup at Buena Vista Deli
There’s nothing quite as comforting as a bowl of soup on a rainy day, or a cool day, or heck, on any day at all. The leek soup made at Buena Vista Deli is like a warm vichyssoise with extra leek, and it’s delicious. Served with two slices of a fresh baked baguette, this soup is vegetarian friendly, made without meat stock. It’s neither too creamy nor too watery. It may not look like much, but thankfully, looks can be, and in this case are, deceiving. The potatoes, leeks and spices, including a “secret” ingredient, make this traditional recipe stand out from other soups. Buena Vista’s friendly atmosphere helps make sipping this savory treat in the sunny restaurant that much more of a delight.
