5. French Field Greens Salad at The Cheese Course
Salads can be a tricky thing. Are they a diet food or can they be heavy and delicious?
The French Field Greens salad ($8.45) at The Cheese Course may not be low-fat, but it is amazing. The greens are fresh, crisp, cool on a plate well over a foot long. It’s topped with a substantial amount of creamy, crumbly goat cheese and dried cranberries. It comes with a light, mustard-shallot vinaigrette that goes perfectly with the rest of the salad. And as if you wouldn’t be full enough already, it comes with large piece of soft baguette on the side.
