North One 10 is holding one of its’ great Winemaker Dinners tonight beginning at 7:00 p.m. Andrea Cecchi of Cecchi Winery will be on hand to preside over the tasting of his wines. From the release:
“Andrea Cecchi’s surname is cloaked in tradition, the wines that he crafts on his family estates have their own powerful nomenclature:
Chianti Classico, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and Morellino di Scansano. In those centuries-old denominations of humble beverage wines, Mr. Cecchi, who holds a Master’s of Enology degree, saw the potential for greatness.”
The menu includes a starter of farro risotto with grilled broccoli rabe and artichokes (paired with Reserva Di Famiglia 2005); and a main course of lobster-stuffed zucchini blossom atop a filet mingon in minestrone soup (with Morellino Di Scansano Riserva 2004,Valle Delle Rose).
