…. Well, it is, according to BBC Radio One’s Zane Lowe, who dubbed the house supergroup’s latest track “the hottest record in the world today” this past Thursday. In dance music, 2010 is officially the year of Swedish House Mafia.
The holy triumvirate of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso have dominated from the beginning, from WMC on through the summer Ibiza season. Just in time for closing party craziness, here comes the sonic summary of that journey to stardom: the threesome’s new track featuring Tinie Tempah, “Miami 2 Ibiza.”

A relentless banger that combines epic, almost trance-y synth lines, brand name-dropping, and Tempah’s light ragga vocal flavor, this is the kind of ear-blasting track made expressly for peak hour.
Listen to the song below on a broadcast clip from Zane Lowe’s BBC show. The last three minutes include an interview with Ingrosso about the genesis of the track.
Of course, if you’re a fan, make sure to hear it live when Swedish House Mafia arrives in Miami to play an early-evening, outdoors show on October 30
