We’ve got a lot of returns this week, meaning you should stop putting off the chance to see some of your favorite folks in concert. The Weeknd is headed to Miami after ruling the BB&T Center in May, Bone Thugs N Harmony are back to fill Sidebar, and Ibeyi are playing the North Beach Bandshell again after the release of their new album, Ash.You can also catch some epic returns to the stage with Fergie at the Fontainebleau BleauLive stage and LCD Soundsystem at the James L. Knight Center.

After a long and powerful three days of music, III Points came to a steamy close yesterday, with coheadliner the xx playing the hell out of the stage and closing with the hit “The Angels.” The tune, the fan reaction, and the three days of performance brought live music to a new level in Miami.

Forget the names at the top of the bill: these are the III Points acts you need to see.

Broward artist Lucas Racine, better known as Lautlos, is more than happy to flash his ongoing creative development for all to see. Last week saw the release of the 24-year-old musician’s latest EP, Shimei,  and he will be celebrating the occasion with an appearance at III Points.

In the past four years, III Points has brought some huge to Miami, all while aiming to support local artists who might not otherwise be heard. In the festival’s first year alone, James Murphy and Jamie xx took the stage. This year, the fest is bringing back some favorites (such as the xx and Nicolas Jaar) as well as a few newcomers.

Three is a magic number, but five is a real milestone, and III Points is proud to present its fifth year of festivities this Friday, October 13, through Sunday, October 15.

Richie Hawtin’s new live performance begins in pitch darkness. Hawtin can’t be seen, but he can be sensed behind a droning bass line that undulates at a frequency felt deep in the chest. A flurry of chirps follows and rises in pitch until the sound seems to hover over the crowd like a UFO about to abduct them. The audience whistles and cheers in anticipation. They love it.
