Sure, it’s been known to keep more than a few dead bodies moist, but Biscayne Bay is much more than that. So we’re glad Dragonfly Expeditions has chosen to offer it up via kayak and hydrobike, a contraption that resembles the lovechild of a bike and banana boat. During Innovation on the Water: Introducing the Hydrobike, catch views of Stiltsville and listen to your guide ramble on about the history and ecology of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park as you pedal along the shoreline. The 2.5-hour experience includes a kayak ride and tour of the historic lighthouse. This trip isn’t for the un-athletic, because once you’re on the water, there’s no turning back. So buy some bottled water, prepare to get wet, and call for your reservation. Meet up with your fellow water pals at 10:30 a.m. in front of the restrooms next to the Lighthouse Café at Bill Baggs.
