If you attended Florida State University in the ’90s, you probably had a class with this guy. You know him — he looked 30 and was a six-year senior. Back in 1997, when FSU was celebrating its title of “Number One Party School,” Rolling Stone magazine discovered Bert Kreischer, a perennial student, and named him the “Number One Party Animal in the Country” in a feature article titled “The Undergraduate.” Since then, the Florida native has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, signed a development deal with CBS, and hosted his own show on FX. But it’s the cringe-worthy, laugh-until-you-cry YouTube video of Kreischer getting his ass waxed (he’s on all fours) that keeps fans coming back for more. This Thursday through Sunday, Kreischer’s smart (and smooth) ass jokes will be back in his home state at the Miami Improv for a special New Year’s set. The Friday and Saturday shows will offer two spots, one at 8:30 p.m. and another at 10:45, while the Thursday and Sunday shows offer one evening performance. Tickets cost $16.
Thursdays-Sundays, 8:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 10:30 p.m. Starts: Dec. 31. Continues through Jan. 2, 2009
