The models are coming! The models are coming! Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim (aka Miami Swim Week) is getting ready to take over South Beach from July 19-23.
Nothing excites us more during the scorching hot summer months than seeing models strutting their stuff in swimwear. But good luck getting into most of the shows that week without a press badge or some sort of celebrity status.
That's where we've got you covered. We've scoured the city to dig up Miami Swim Week events that are open to the public, with plenty of VIP perks (think: mini spa treatments, goodie bags, open bars). Hey, some of them even have fashion shows (or at the very least, viewings of the shows you couldn't get into). Check them out after the jump.
Wednesday, July 18
Ready, Set, Swim

Lila Nikole Collection is hosting an Electrika 2013 Swim Fashion Show Preview at Bamboo Miami, with the collection modeled by Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, sounds by DJs Rob Dinero and Bonnie Beats. The "Electrika" line incorporates prints with wild graphics and neon tones of pink, blue, yellow and green monokinis, bikinis, and one-pieces all inspired by Ultra Music Festival. It's all in conjunction with the Red Bull Stage.

Summer Sample Sale Miami Beach is an annual pop-up shopping lounge featuring more than 20 leading contemporary designers offering significant discounts on clothing, swimwear, lingerie, and accessories during the weekend of Miami Swim Week.
The high-fashion shopping event will then open its doors on Sunday to those looking to escape the heat and shop the latest deals from nationally known brands including Eberjay, Studio LX, Ole Unlimited, Kristy's Closet, Nugaard jewelry, Maya swimwear, Honey Child body care and Liza + Tara. In addition, straight off the runway, the Red Dress Collection by designers Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karan, Nicole Miller, Gustavo Cadile, Angel Sanchez, Silvia Tcherassi, Diego Binetti, Victoria Lopez Castro, Fisico by Cristina Ferrari, Ever After, Koam Designs, Sarahi House of Fashion, Custo Barcelona, LAVUK and Carlo Carrizosa. They'll be donating 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit American Heart Association.
This year's Summer Sample Sale will feature an outdoor garden, a plush lounge and an air-conditioned luxe space. Beyond the white picket fence and picnic tables, the expansive park-themed tent will also offer live music, a complimentary yoga class on Sunday from 11am-12 pm (courtesy of Green Monkey), complimentary mini spa services, and a slew of sponsored booths giving out gratis treats, beverages, and beauty items.

The L*SPACE official fashion show after party following their runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim on Sunday, July 22 will be taking place from 10 p.m. to midnight at STK Steakhouse at The Perry South Beach. There will be signature cocktails on-hand, and they'll be showing video of the runway show of the Summer 2013 collection, for those of us who missed it.

The Finale Swim Week Party at Haven Lounge will celebrate the Closing Capsule Show of designers including Dorit, Naila, Anna Kosturova, and KEVA l J.
Starting at 11 p.m., the festivities will include live entertainment, one hour worth of signature cocktails, and a video runway show of the Summer 2013 collections.
