Now hard-hitting questions arise: "What do I do?" "Where do I go?" and "How the hell am I going to get my drunk ass home at the end of the night?" (hint: Uber equals financial suicide). Instead, being seen in crisp designer rock-a-wear while flocking among Miami's elite in a Soho House-type setting is your version of cozy. And before the champagne-shower shenanigans of the night ensue, mimosas served up at the last brunch of the year consume your hectic daytime schedule.

Iman: "The skirt has got a summer feel to it, yet the jacket on top keeps it wintery. I'm feeling blues this season, so I have a blend of light and dark blues working for me here. But the best part is the elastic waist band on the skirt, that way I can really stuff in the carbs before really behaving myself next year."

Melissa: "This Jay Godfrey dress just screams New Year's Eve. It has a nice shimmery sheen without being over the top sparkle."
Iman: "I just moved down from London seven months ago so this outfit represents what I would wear there - minus this fur coat! I love the color of the dress and the chunky accessories really bring it all to life. I paired the dress with Alejandro Ingelmo booties (courtesy of Capretto in South Miami), who always does a great job of coming up with a sexy shoe without bordering on hoochie-mama."

"My strategy for New Year's Eve has always been underdressing is overdressing - not too stuffy. A Marino wool blazer with a fitted checkered shirt on top of a pair of J Brand skinnies and United Nude Chukka boots (exclusively sold at OFY) makes it all feel very solid yet comfortable."
For the little Hipster Around the Corner:
NYE celebrations of rooftop gatherings with fancy wine names you dare not attempt to pronounce, and tailored anything, make you queasy. The only place worth chilling at on the beach is The Broken Shaker with an Old Fashioned in one hand and a burning cigarette in the other. New Year's Eve consists of last minute outfit-grabbing and "throwing things together" because procrastination is your hobby-turned-profession of choice - and because you're just cool like that.
