Are the wheels finally falling off the Miami Heat’s bandwagon? Chris Bosh recently said the team sucks, and they have barely managed a .500 record for the past several weeks. The naysayers are coming out of the holes they snuck into after the Heat’s first championship celebration, and unfortunately, nothing the guys have done has bought them credit for what they have accomplished since forming in the Era of the Big Three.
What would be the perfect way to wake up a team that’s sleepwalking through the end of the regular season? Paul Pierce’s chipmunk face, and Kevin Garnett’s alien-like frame. The Brooklyn Nets come to town this Tuesday, and the timing couldn’t be better. The visceral dislike between these teams has only grown as two of the former Celtics’ Big Three moved a few miles south to Brooklyn. The Nets already took three regular-season games from the Heat, and trust us, there is no way that LeBron and company will let Pierce and Garnett sweep the season series. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. at the American Airlines Arena (601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami). Tickets cost $60 to $450. Call 866-777-1000 or visit heat.com.
