Miami International Airport is a little bit like the Magic City itself. It’s hectic, unpredictable, and packed with moments of unexpected luxury if you know where to look. When it comes to finding a calm oasis amid the chaos of TSA lines and gate changes, MIA’s lounge game is solid. From chef-curated meals to shower suites that’ll make you forget about your dreaded middle seat, these airport hideaways can make even the grumpiest of travelers grin.

So, whether you're flying first class, rolling with your Priority Pass, or flexing that AmEx Platinum, here are seven of the best lounges at MIA, organized by terminal, so you can spend your pre-flight hours relaxing in style.

North Terminal

American Airlines Flagship Lounge, Gate D30

Consider this the Cadillac of American Airlines lounges. Tucked behind Gate D30 (near Skytrain Station No. 3), this one’s reserved for Oneworld elites, Flagship First and Business Plus flyers, and the occasional day-pass holder. The scene is generally sleek and spacious, with chef-concocted meals, a premium wine slate, and a cocktail bar that slings drinks as smoothly as a Brickell bartender trying to make rent. Pro tip: Qualifying guests can access a full-service sit-down dining experience curated in partnership with the James Beard Foundation, featuring rotating menus from local culinary mavens.

American Express Centurion Lounge, Gate D12

This is the unofficial clubhouse for Miami’s Platinum Card glitterati. Steps from Gate D12 (Skytrain Station No. 1), the Centurion Lounge is what happens when design, comfort, and culinary ambition beautifully collide. Think braised chicken thighs by Michelle Bernstein, craft cocktails by Jim Meehan, and wine picks from Anthony Giglio. It’s all inside a lush, modern space that includes a shower suite, family room, and semi-private work pods. It’s open to AmEx Platinum and Centurion members, but it fills up fast, so don’t dilly-dally.

Central Terminal

Turkish Airlines Lounge, Terminal E

If you’re jetting out of Terminal E or just willing to wander a little, the Turkish Airlines Lounge is a quietly impressive retreat. It’s open to Star Alliance elites, Priority Pass holders, and even those willing to pay for a one-day pass. Once inside, expect comforts including hot meals, complimentary drinks, generally reliable Wi-Fi, and yes, showers. It’s not as flashy as some other options, but what it lacks in pizzazz, it makes up for in tranquility.

South Terminal

Delta Sky Club, Terminal H

Delta’s South Terminal Sky Club got a swanky facelift recently, and it shows. Open from 4:45 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., this upgraded lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows, cozy seating, and an elevated food and drink program. Access is available to Delta Sky Club members, partner airline business travelers, and day-pass holders with same-day Delta tickets.

The VIP Lounge (LATAM), Gate J6

This Oneworld-affiliated gem is your ticket to South American charm before you even leave the country. Near Gate J6, this lounge is open most days until half past midnight and offers a rotating food menu focused on American fare, a standout wine selection, and quiet zones with worker-friendly amenities. Access comes via business/first-class invites from LATAM and partners or, for the uninitiated, a three-hour pass (if capacity allows).

Avianca and TAP Portugal Lounge, Gate J6

Just across from the VIP Lounge, this sprawling, 6,500-square-foot Star Alliance beauty is the new lounge kid on the block. It’s open 24/7, which is rare — and ideal for those red-eyes or awkward layovers. Inside, expect cozy modern seating, Portuguese pastry spreads, and an impressive array of international bites served throughout the day. It’s open to premium passengers, Priority Pass members, and those savvy enough to score a day pass. Oh, and if you have lingering LifeMiles, you can cash them for lounge entry here.
