It’s getting hot in here...and not in a fun, "2002 Nelly" kind of way. Miami’s summer heat is here to melt our flip-flops into the sidewalk, frizz hair into oblivion, and turn our steering wheels into a branding iron as we honk along the Palmetto.

But here’s the good news: While South Florida sizzles, so do some summer flight deals.

Whether you're itching for international adventure, craving coastal calm (we have the "coastal" part down, but not the "calm"), or just want to experience weather that's not 92 degrees with 1000 percent humidity, we've rounded up the ten best cheap flights from Miami (and Fort Lauderdale, too) to take advantage of this season.

From Caribbean paradises to West Coast charmers, in alphabetical order, here are the best summer getaways with standout cultural hooks and budget-friendly fares.

Atlanta, Georgia

For about $125 round-trip, you can swap palm trees for pines and dive into Georgia’s version of summer camp for adults. A little over an hour from Atlanta, Barnsley Resort is a storybook scene brought to life, with 3,000 acres of trails, spas, firepits, and even ax-throwing. Or, you can stick to the city and do it up with rooftop cocktails, strolls along the Beltline, and maybe a Braves game if you're feeling like rooting for a team that can win (sorry, Marlins).

Boston, Massachusetts

You can hit Beantown this August for around $125 round-trip. It’s a small price to pay for lobster rolls, historic charm, and coastal breezes. The annual Fisherman’s Feast in the North End, slated for August 14 to 17, dishes out parades, pastas, and Italian pastries. Bonus: It’s also peak whale-watching season, which runs from May through September.

Calgary, Canada

Roughly $325 gets you from the tropics to the Canadian Rockies, where Calgary delivers alpine air, big-sky views, and an impressive lineup of end-of-summer events. Catch the adrenaline of the Spruce Meadows Masters show-jumping event September 3 through 7, or mix with cinephiles at the Calgary International Film Festival later in the month (September 18 to 28).

Curaçao

For around $350 round-trip, escape to this Southern Caribbean gem, where hurricanes rarely venture and the beaches are borderline blindingly beautiful. The capital city of Willemstad serves up European flair with Caribbean spice. It's full of colorful Dutch architecture, coral reefs for days, and rum cocktails best enjoyed with your toes buried in the sand.

Dublin, Ireland

A transatlantic adventure to Dublin clocks in at around $500 round-trip this summer — and that’s before you save on overpriced A/C bills by just being somewhere cool for once. Late August is peak golf season, but even if your swing’s a mess, the scenery won’t be. And yes, the Guinness really does taste better on its home turf, so enjoy a cold pint or ten while you’re at it.

Dubai, UAE

Around $700 gets you to one of the world’s most opulent playgrounds and, compared to other cooler months in the city, it’s wallet-friendly. Sure, it’s a desert, but it’s also a well-air-conditioned one with ski slopes and gold vending machines. Pro-tip: Visit Dubai’s Summer Surprises website offers ongoing and pop-up deals on attractions and adventures throughout the season.

Mexico City, Mexico

A round trip to CDMX this July runs about $275, making it one of the best bang-for-your-peso getaways around. Rainy season means thinner crowds and cheaper everything, from museum tickets to that fifth mezcal cocktail. Whether you’re wandering Frida Kahlo’s home or savoring tacos al pastor under a tin awning, the vibras are stellar — even when the skies open up.

Miches, Dominican Republic

Just $250 round-trip unlocks endless palm trees, mountain views, and a front-row seat to one of the Caribbean’s buzziest resort openings. On June 30, Zemi Miches Punta Cana — about three hours north of Santo Domingo’s airport — debuts with 500 beachfront rooms, a dozen restaurants, Taino-inspired cultural programming, and a rooftop pool that will likely beg for your Instagram feed. It’s tucked away in Miches, an uncrowded coastal stretch away from mega-resort hubs in the DR.

San Diego, California

At around $275 round-trip, San Diego is the salty-haired, burrito-stuffed escape of your summer dreams. Time your visit with the San Diego County Fair (June 11 to July 6) or simply beach-hop your way down the coast from La Jolla to Ocean Beach. With perfect weather, laid-back locals, and seals that chill harder than you do, San Diego shows a calmer side of California.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

For as little as $100 round-trip (and rarely more than $225 this summer), San Juan is the ultimate no-passport-needed paradise. Just 30 minutes from the airport, Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico is a summer headquarters for families and beach lovers alike, with bonfire nights, snorkeling adventures, sushi classes, and a lagoon pool that could be its own zip code. Oh yeah, and we're burying the lede: Bad Bunny’s summer residency kicks off July 11 and runs through September 14, making it basically the coolest place to be on planet Earth this summer.
