Cancún, Mexico
Cancún is generally a hit for Miamians looking for beachside resort bliss without the sticker shock. With direct round-trip flights hovering at around $250, you can escape to turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, and all-inclusive indulgence with a different flair than what we experience here on the daily. What you save on airfare, you can spend at the Hilton Cancun for family-friendly, beachfront luxury, or splurge on the new AVA Resort Cancun, a splashy all-inclusive that debuted less than a year ago with a private 2.8-acre lagoon and sprawling spa.Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
One of Cabo's most prized hotel brands, Solmar Hotels & Resorts, is celebrating 50 years of hospitality in Baja this year, and they're going big with revamped suites, new culinary concepts, and exclusive guest experiences. Fly in for under $400 round-trip and check into Grand Solmar Land's End for ocean views and massages by the sea.Chiang Mai, Thailand
Thailand is riding high from White Lotus–inspired wanderlust, and Chiang Mai is your budget-friendly pick in the country. Expect flights from MIA in the $600 to $800 range if booked smart —that's not bad for a route that can cost well over $1000 during peak season. Spend your days temple-hopping (start with Wat Phra That Doi Suthep) or exploring jungles and night bazaars. Rest your head at the wellness-forward Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai, opened two years ago, or the centrally located Meliá Chiang Mai. Come June, witness the Inthakin City Pillar Festival (May 31 to June 6), when locals give thanks for peace and prosperity in a vibrant, flower-laden celebration.

Nassau, Bahamas
With round-trip flights starting around $250 and a flight time under one hour, Nassau is practically Miami's backyard. Book the newly transformed British Colonial Nassau, now a $50 million beachfront escape with live jazz, private sands, and seven dining venues. Don't miss Bahamas Carnival, happening June 5 to 9 — a color-soaked, soca-fueled celebration full of music, road marches, and fetes. Fuel up for the revelry with ceviche and cotton candy cosmos at the new Carnivale Bahamas on Paradise Island, too.New York City, New York
While NYC isn't always cheap, flights from MIA can dip below $100 with budget carriers come springtime. Spring in the city means rooftop bars, Central Park blooms, and classic hotel hotspots in their prime. The Ned NoMad boasts a 1920s glamour and killer rooftop, and the refreshed Kimpton Hotel Eventi is home to Chef Laurent Tourondel's Skirt Steak restaurant, which gives you unlimited fries with that steak. From June 4 to 15, check out the Tribeca Film Festival, where films, panels, and immersive experiences take over Manhattan. There's no shortage of culture — or pizza — to go around.Orlando, Florida
This spring marks the long-awaited debut of Universal Epic Universe on May 22, perhaps the decade's most anticipated theme park opening. With super-quick flights from FLL and MIA for as low as $40 round-trip, flying instead of driving is tempting. Stay at the sleek Lake Nona Wave Hotel or splash out at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a luxe retreat amid theme park hopping. In addition to exploring Super Nintendo World and the Ministry of Magic, swing by EPCOT's International Flower & Garden Festival through June 2 for topiaries, delicious food, and concerts.

Panama City, Panama
Copa Airlines is known as Latin America's most punctual airline, and its Panama Stopover Program makes the city a two-for-one deal en route to somewhere else. Or you can head straight to Panama for around $300 from MIA. Stay in the stylish Casco Viejo district at Hotel La Compañía (its Villa Ana 1928 restaurant is a historic, multi-level house like few others on Earth) or venture two hours to the golf-friendly and beachside Buenaventura Resort.Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
The beaches of Turks and Caicos are calling—and spring rates are dropping. Flights from MIA start in the mid-$300s, and the Strand in Providenciales is offering "stay four, pay three" deals and complimentary breakfast through June 15. You'll be steps from Cooper Jack Bay and minutes from private boat charters. For a unique nature experience, time your visit with World Oceans Day on June 8, when conservation events and reef clean-ups take place island-wide.
The Dominion Energy Riverrock festival includes bouldering, paddleboarding, trailrunning, and even dog jumping competitions.
