Is it just us, or is it almost impossible not to spend most weekends in the Grove? Even if we start our night in South Beach, the lights, the people, and the tiki-tiki music are just too much, so we end up U-turning to the Grove for a beer. It’s an all-around great place to spend the evening, with so many options for restaurants and bars: GreenStreet, George’s, Oasis, etc. Clearly the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce feels the same way, because it’s presenting the Great Taste of the Grove: Food & Wine Festival. The annual fundraiser, which has seen crowds of more than 30,000, brings food, wine, and music together in a waterfront setting.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $18,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
