Miami does not tiptoe into the new year. When December 31 comes around, South Florida becomes a regional party stitched together by waterfront countdowns, beachfront concerts, street festivals, and fireworks displays that stretch from Miami Beach to Fort Lauderdale and well beyond.
Whether you want a free public spectacle with headline sets by Marshmello and Nicky Jam, a ticketed affair with a dress code and open bar, or a low-key celebration, there is no shortage of fun ways to welcome 2026 under the glow of fireworks. Here are some of the best options in town.
Coconut Grove
Regatta Grove leans fully into its nautical identity for New Year’s Eve with a waterfront celebration built around music and fireworks over the Grove. The 21-and-over party features DJs, a festive crowd, and, of course, a midnight countdown. Guests are encouraged to dress the part, with coastal chic attire meant to mirror the elegance of the fireworks finale. 8 p.m. at Regatta Grove, 3415 Pan American Dr., Coconut Grove; 305-707-4667; regattagrove.com. Tickets cost $41 to $58 via eventbrite.com.

Coral Gables
The Biltmore Hotel delivers one of the area’s most polished New Year’s Eve experiences, pairing its historic setting with dancing, desserts, and a premium open bar. As midnight approaches, guests gather to watch fireworks light up the sky above the golf course, creating a dramatic backdrop for the countdown. The event is strictly 21 and over, with tickets required in advance. 10 p.m. at The Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables; 855-969-3080; biltmorehotel.com. Tickets cost $250 via eventbrite.com.
Downtown Miami
Bayfront Park once again hosts Miami’s biggest free New Year’s Eve celebration, combining live music, waterfront views, and a large-scale fireworks display at midnight. This year’s lineup features Marshmello, Nicky Jam, Flo Rida, Gente de Zona, and Toño Rosario, turning the park into a full-blown outdoor festival. General admission is free and first-come, first-served, while VIP open bar tickets offer express entry and access to premium viewing areas. 5 p.m. at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami; 305-358-7550; thecountdownmiami.com. Fort Lauderdale
The Orange Bowl Downtown Countdown transforms downtown Fort Lauderdale into a massive street festival that runs from late afternoon into the early hours of the new year. Families can take advantage of kid-friendly activities and an early countdown, while live music and entertainment ramp up in anticipation of the midnight anchor drop and fireworks display. This year’s celebration also features a performance by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips. 4:30 p.m. in Downtown Fort Lauderdale between SW Second St. and SW Fifth Ave.; fortlauderdale.gov. Admission is free.
Miami Beach
Orchestra Miami’s annual New Year’s Eve concert brings live music to the sand, culminating in a fireworks display sponsored by the City of Miami Beach. The evening begins with a string quartet performance, transitioning into a high-energy collaboration with Palo!, known for blending Cuban salsa and Latin jazz. The concert concludes at midnight as fireworks illuminate the shoreline. 8 p.m. on the beach east of Collins Ave. between 21st and 22nd St., Miami Beach; orchestramiami.org. For a classic, no-frills fireworks show, Lummus Park hosts a midnight launch along the Ocean Drive beachfront. Presented by the City of Miami Beach and the Ocean Drive Association, the display coincides with extended pedestrian access along Ocean Drive, where restaurants expand outdoor seating, and the pre-midnight buzz fills the street. 11:59 p.m. at Lummus Park, between Fifth St. and 14th Pl. on Ocean Dr., Miami Beach; miamibeachfl.gov.
