The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
Head to Miami’s resident English pub – Churchill’s – to watch the USA soccer team play footsie with England in a World Cup match. Let’s hope coach Bob Bradley, midfielder Clint Dempsey, and goalkeeper Tim Howard represent the States well or there’ll be some snooty lymies up in Churchill’s. It should be an exciting game; the official chosen to referee the match, Carlos Simon, has a long history of controversial calls.
