There is no doubt the Pittsburgh Penguins’ third-year center, Sidney “The Kid” Crosby, has legendary skills. Often mentioned in the same breath as Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, Crosby is one of the best passers in the game: He’s insanely fast, anticipates plays like a seasoned veteran, and has that scoring touch. The Kid’s problem has nothing to do with his talent. The glaring weakness in his game is the crippling inability to stop acting like a whiney bitch every time he gets checked or called for a penalty. You’d be hard-pressed to find a player in the NHL who is more skilled or complains more often than Pittsburgh’s superstar center.
Here’s hoping Nathan Horton can kick Crosby’s crying into overdrive with a body-rocking hip check or two on the way a critical Panthers home victory. The place to be simultaneously dazzled and annoyed by a superb player is at the BankAtlantic Center.
