Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
You can stop holding your breath, Miami. Our Real Housewives franchise is safe and sound.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Bravo will give the show a second chance, despite its unimpressive ratings last season. And as the network tries to pump up the show’s lackluster viewership, there are plenty of changes in store.
Perhaps most importantly, Bravo’s enlisting the production company Purveyors of Pop, which produced high-rated Real Housewives series in Atlanta, New Jersey, and New York, to jump-start season two.
And it also sounds like new cast members are in the works. Bravo’s not releasing any names just yet, but Scene in the Tropics speculates that model Joanna Krupa and Lisa Hochstein, wife of prominent Miami plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein, will be coming to your TV screen soon.
We, for one, are thrilled at this news in the guiltiest possible way. Miami’s crazy ways have long qualified us for a Real Housewives series to call our own. Here’s hoping that this time, Bravo gets it right.
