As Jersey Shore’s second season takes hold, we must remind Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino that he is definitely not the original greased-up guido with a thick accent, a mild speech impediment, and a beautiful way with the broads. Only Sylvester Stallone can lay legitimate claim to that throne.

We all know and love Stallone in our own weird way — even with his multiple (and we mean multiple) box office bombs. But at the end of the day, Rocky is really where our hearts skipped a beat. Make fun of Sly all you want, but no one visits Philly anymore without sprinting up the stairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art while singing “Gonna Fly Now” in a freaky falsetto. We heart Balboa in a big way. You don’t hear that kind of genuine affection for the Situation.
