Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Adventures of Christopher Bosh in the Multiverse? It’s OK, I guess. I mean, if you’re into a ton of color and evil internet queens and the idea of a multidimensional space prince playing for the Miami Heat.
But what if you’re looking for something a little more serious, a little more black-and-white, a little more… French?
Then you’re looking for The Infinite Sadness of Chris Bosh, YouTube user “Tony Parker”‘s remix of Bleeding Palm’s epic original short film that screened at the Borscht Film Festival last year.

In this version, Bosh isn’t a space prince; he’s just an above-average basketball player who keeps winning championships. But why is he so sad? Something is missing. “What is the meaning?” he asks his teammates, his father, and even the wolf spirit that tries to deliver him from his existential crisis. But no one can answer him. Le sigh.
The folks at Borscht claim to have no hand in this Henri, Le Chat Noir-esque update to arguably their most popular film of the year. The YouTube user is still a mystery, too; “Tony Parker” is pretty obviously an alias, referencing French basketball player Tony Parker.
Then again, maybe it really is the Spurs player, distraught and searching for meaning after Bosh and the rest of the Heat beat them in this year’s NBA Finals. Maybe this video is Parker’s ultra-French cry for help.
You know what they say: In the multiverse, all life is real.
