Fast cars, an energetic crowd, and celebrity appearances — what more could you ask for during NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend? For fans of racing, Homestead-Miami Speedway (1 Speedway Blvd., Homestead) will buzz with excitement this weekend.
Among the three races, Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 will feature the most familiar names and defending champs. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski, four-time champion and winner of last year’s race Jeff Gordon, and Miami’s own Juan Pablo Montoya will be among the drivers. But there’s more to this weekend than the races. Attendees can also expect fireworks plus live music and entertainment. Bonus: Guests can even bring their own food and drinks into the speedway (no “stadium pal” necessary). A speedway representative confirmed there will be celebrities in attendance, though the list had not yet been announced.
