October may be all about pumpkins and apple cider up North, but the month signifies the beginning of stone crab season in Miami. The weather is great and the crabs are snapping in multitudes, so what better way to celebrate than with a festival? The Hess Select South Beach Seafood Festival kicks off the season with a feast featuring all things seafood. It offers a full day of food, drinks, and entertainment, because you can’t properly enjoy delectable crustaceans without equally delicious drinks and live music.
Aside from music, also expect live cocktail mixing demonstrations, but be careful not to have too many cocktails before the instructional course, or you won’t remember a thing. Participating restaurants — including Tarpon Bend, Red the Steakhouse, and Cibo Wine Bar — will offer outdoor seating and seafood menus with various choices at different price points.
