Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You

We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.

$10,000

Shake it, sisters! This week’s edition of Siren, a weekly Saturday-night party for women who love women, should be a feast for your hips as well as your eyes and ears. Produced by Lynn Bové of Icandee, the rhythmic romp features a tribute to the Fania All-Stars, one of the greatest salsa bands of all time. Stellar members, including Celia Cruz, Willy Colón, Tito Puente, and Rubén Blades, all made musical history with the group. Tonight’s “El Escándalo” party begins at 10:00 and will keep the ladies sweating to DJ Dezrock’s hot Latin music well into the wee hours.

There will be drink specials, sexy dancers, and a muy caliente female percussionist. Siren’s women-friendly entertainment takes place at Creme Lounge, 725 Lincoln Ln., Miami Beach. Admission is eight bucks at the door before midnight, $10 afterwards. This party is for divas who are 21 and older. Dress to dance the night away, but leave your shorts and flip-flops at home.
