During National Poetry Month, there’s more verse in the Magic City than at any other time of year — and not just because of the O, Miami Poetry Festival. Poets like Alexis Caputo are repping the art form all year long with The Afro Diaries project. The latest installment: FEMININE THE WORD: A Women’s Collective.
The event brings together poets Damali Adele Ife, Elizabeth Straight-Wilt, Mori Taiye, Soulflower, and Caputo herself to present writing from the ladies’ perspective.

Fri., April 19, 10 p.m., 2013
