Bored by Brangelina and their fahhhbulous peers who spend more time dodging the paparazzi than in character, and deliver as much emotional onscreen impact as petrified wood? There is an alternative. Check out the works on display at Shake A Leg’s Art by the Bay second annual art and film festival instead. The art part of the fete runs from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday through Monday and features music and works made by students and adults with disabilities. Admission is free.

On Saturday night at 7:30, ten bucks buys you three short films and cocktails. And at 7:30 tonight, another crisp Hamilton will get you into the Q&A session with the producer and stars of the film 39 Pounds of Love. This remarkable story centers on Ami Ankilewitz, a 34 year old man who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, weighs 39 pounds, and uses the only movement capability he has — one finger on his left hand — to do computer animation. All festivities will be held at Shake-A-Leg. Call 305-858-5550
or visit www.shakealegmiami.org.
