Fans of fine television have rooted for Miami psychopath Dexter for the past six seasons. Who can resist the show’s twisted yet intriguing plot? But true Dexter obsessives know that the characters are based on Miami novelist Jeff Lindsay’s series. His dark humor was translated into Showtime’s Dexter six years ago.
Lindsay will appear at the 49th annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival, one of Miami’s iconic events, along with other artists, chefs, and musicians this Saturday. Foodies, music lovers, and culture seekers alike flock to the Grove each year for the fest’s outdoor jam sessions, stalls stocked with local art, and grand Global Food Village.
There’s almost a full mile of music, art, and food to explore, snaking along McFarlane Road, South Bayshore Drive, and Pan American Drive.
Feb. 18-20, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., 2012
