$7,500

Gohar Rajabzadeh, a student at Miami International University of Art & Design‘s fashion program, was named the winner of the Humane Society’s punnily named Cool vs Cruel fashion design competition with her animal friendly faux fur coat. As part of the prize she’ll win a trip to New York and a week long internship with a designer. The judging panel was headed by some reality tv folk like America’s Next Top Model photog Nigel Baker and Project Runway reject Suede, but also included some bonafide fashion stars like Victoria Bartlett, Charlotte Ronson, Betsey Johnson and Mickey Boardman.
