Jungle Island animal caretakers have proven a suspicion we’ve had all along: Steve Jobs disciples are all just a bunch of trend-happy apes.
(That, at least, is what we’re choosing to believe as we type this story out on our slow-ass Dell.)
The zoo’s orangutans have been using iPads to learn and communicate with their trainers, the AP reports. “They’re sort of trapped in those bodies,” Jungle Island volunteer Linda Jacobs said, noting that the apes don’t have any other way to tell the humans around them what they want or how they feel. Sort of like that friend of yours who communicates solely via text message, but with more body hair.
