The cartoonishly grotesque star of Tawnie Silva‘s new art show, “You Like Everything About Me, Except Me,” is a four-eyed, thick-lipped, gap-toothed fat lady. (And when we say she has four eyes, we mean she literally has an extra set of holes in her head.) Basically a BBW blow-up doll made from a bunch of colored trash bags, this voluptuous female sits bare-assed and smiling on the cold, concrete floor, a giant flesh-colored dildo stuffed between spread legs.
Running through the end of May, Silva’s show at Butter Gallery also has circus-themed felt banners emblazoned with mottos such as “It Has to End With Yes,” as well as a few other inflatable oddities. The fat lady, though, is the undisputed Queen Freak.
