Firefighters are our real-life supermen — hardy, masculine, courageous, and damn sexy in uniform. They are firemen in every sense of the word — extinguishing flames by day and igniting them in women’s hearts by night. Tonight the ladies at Martini Bar might need to be hosed down during the South Florida Firefighters Calendar event.
Beginning at 9:30, firefighters will sign calendars and pose for photos with patrons. At midnight they’ll take the stage tanned and topless to perform a seductive little number. And if any guys are wary about watching half-naked men dance onstage, take a hint: This is one party that won’t be a sausagefest; the odds of meeting a single lady are in your favor. Calendars cost $17, and proceeds go to Here’s Help, a drug treatment and rehab program, as well as Magnum’s Force, a program that provides assistance to families and individuals in need. Get rowdy with two-for-one drinks from 9:00 to 11:00. Ladies get in free all night; men pay $10 after 11:00.
