With 2 days left in our spring campaign, we have a new $10,000 goal!
New Times members have already contributed more than $7,500 - can you help us hit our new goal and keep New Times free and in print every week? If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today.
If you think you can learn to dance from Brian Friedman, Pulse Dance will give you the chance. The New York based Broadway Dance Center presents a weekend workshop featuring the choreographer from the popular TV show So You Think You Can Dance? He and others will focus on reggaeton, hip-hop, jazz, Latin, and dancehall styles. If you think you already have mad dancing skills, register for the Freestyle Competition on Saturday. The cost is only $25, and you might win a prize. Also don’t worry about your aching corns: There will be a faculty show, a Q&A and autograph session, and food available while you sit on your can for a few minutes. Class hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Tuition is $150 per dancer for one day, $250 for both days. Visit www.broadwaydancecenter.com for details.
