Spooky season has arrived in the 305, with Miami morphing into a mash-up of haunted house frights, costume-clad nightlife, and tropical weirdness you won’t find anywhere else, period.

If you’re chasing jump scares, dog costumes, or waterfront witchcraft, Miami always celebrates with flair (and plenty of fog machines). From Gothic glitz in the Grove to scary carnivals and family-friendly haunts, here are ten of the best Halloween happenings in Miami this year, listed in chronological order by opening date.

Horrorland Scream Park at Jungle Island

If you crave Hollywood-level production, Horrorland Scream Park delivers pure nightmare fuel. House of Horror Haunted Carnival at Miami International Mall

The infamous carnival sprawls across 100,000 square feet inside an old Sears store, with five haunted houses and two outdoor scare zones. Between screams, hit the rides — including the terrifying Scarecoaster — then unwind with carnival bites and brews from Cervecería La Tropical. Haunted Birdhouse Hunt at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Fairchild’s first-ever Haunted Birdhouse Hunt sends visitors along its lush trails to find 13 haunted birdhouses inspired by ghostly Florida folklore. Solve riddles, uncover clues, and learn strange legends along the way. Halloween Haunted Trails at Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park

For old-school scares under the stars, head to North Miami’s Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park for its annual Haunted Trails. This city event turns the tranquil park into a forest full of live scare actors, creepy scenes, and jump scares. 7 to 11 p.m., Friday, October 24, at Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park, 1725 NE 135th St., North Miami; northmiamifl.gov. Yappy Hour: Halloween Edition at National Hotel

Halloween’s gone to the dogs at the National Hotel’s Halloween Yappy Hour. Step into the shadows this Halloween weekend as Regatta Grove transforms into a haunting world inspired by Gothic mystery. Return to Nevermore is a chilling celebration where Wednesday Addams would feel right at home. Immerse yourself in dark décor, sip themed cocktails, and revel in spine-tingling vibras under the moonlight. Halloween Block Party on Lincoln Road

The Lincoln Road Halloween Block Party draws thousands of costumed characters every year for one of Miami Beach’s most beloved traditions. Early in the evening, families enjoy trick-or-treating, but once the sun sets, the promenade becomes a pulsating catwalk of ghouls, glam, and glitter for adults only. 5 p.m. Friday, October 31, along Lincoln Road, Miami Beach; lincolnroad.com. HalloWyn 2025 at Wynwood Marketplace

No Miami Halloween list is complete without HalloWyn, the city’s largest and loudest Halloween block party.
