$7,500

Have you ever gone to a restaurant, enjoyed a fabulous meal, and walked out wondering how you can replicate the same dish at home? If so, the folks at the Biltmore Hotel (1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables) can help via the Biltmore Culinary Academy. The latest course to be offered in this program is the Florida/Caribbean Culinary Class, taught by hotel chef Scott Downs. You will have the opportunity to cook a meal inspired by Florida’s flavorful culture, and at the end of the day, you will go home with the top-secret recipe to re-create the plate as many nights as you please in your own home.
Join other foodies this Wednesday for a savory session running from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. The cost for this one-day cooking class is $110 per person. No need to bring your own apron — one will be provided and will be yours to keep. Don’t forget to dress comfortably, because you will likely be on your feet and handling some messy ingredients.

Wed., Sept. 18, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 2013
