In 1999 The Gathering was a goth party that began in Club 5922. Every week industrial fans layered on white makeup and swayed to Depeche Mode. But after several years and four different venues, the event was laid to rest, forcing extension-donning divas and latex lovers to scatter to their respective caves. Now the powers of darkness have answered pasty partyers’ pleas and resurrected the spookfest at Soho Lounge every Wednesday night beginning at 11:00. Pull out those Matrix-inspired getups ´cause DJs Le Brion, Dino, Essential 6, Sin, Chris Halo, and SinSekt are dropping the best in EBM, synth pop, New Wave classics, and other ghoulish goodies. Whet your fangs with four-dollar well drinks and three-dollar shots all night. And free admission makes the cheap booze and banging music all the more enjoyable.
