If you ran the Miami Marathon yesterday (or sacrificed sleep to hold up witty signs on the sidelines), we salute you. You’re probably sore, tired, and feeling (deservedly) self-satisfied. If only we had your motivation — and ability to function before a few cafecitos.

As a reward for your amazing accomplishment — or just for reading New Times — we have some free fun for the next five days. From Star Trek to recess, here’s a killer lineup of ways to stay busy this week, no dinero required.

Tuesday

  • Downtown Recess in Bayfront Park: Clearly, adults need recess way more than kids do, thanks to #cubelife. Take a midday break to play 4-square and giant Jenga and eat your Lunchables.
  • Wednesday

  • Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan at Soundscape: Here’s your chance to see Star Trek as it was meant to be — in the capable hands of Kirk and Spock (the originals, of course). Check out Shatner when he was young, brash, and all about bedding every female in the galaxy.

  • Bonfire Under the Moonlight at Canvas: Considering we live in a city where our winter is everyone else’s summer, we don’t have nearly enough bonfires. Luckily, the Arts & Entertainment District is filling the void. Drink PBR, eat s’mores, and listen to tunes by Kids.
  • Friday

  • Viernes Culturales at Domino Park: From a historic walking tour to tunes by La Candela Orchestra to a meet-and-greet with author Cecilia Fernandez, it’s an entire evening’s lineup of culturally enriching events.
