Giant swans, purple dragons, and inflatable monkeys are just some of the floats that crowded the shores of South Beach on Saturday for the mega float event of the year, Floatopia.
Hundreds of people glided through the piercing blue waters of South Pointe in pink and yellow neon colored tubes, floating islands that could hold an army of people through a 90-mile journey south, and even jumped on an inflatable trampoline.
Cultist drifted through the waters of SoBe in search of the best floats and found everything from rubber duckies to Nemo to a group of Bostonians showing their support to the victims of the Boston bombings.

Floating cabanas
Nothing says the perfect beach day like spending all day floating around on a canopy-covered cabana with like-minded beach goers.
Life sized rubber duckies
It’s like every kid’s dream come true.
Boston 617 Strong champagne bottle
Boston is one relentless city, and even though these guys are more than 1,500 miles away from the New England town, they proudly showed their support to the city that proved that the American spirit is greater than any act of terror.
Race car
Looks like they’re racing to see which float will drift away to Cuba first.
Rockets and pirate ships
If rockets and pirates could trek through the rough waters of the Atlantic together, it would look something like this.
Giant green turtle
Maybe she color coordinated her bikini to match her giant green turtle floatie.
Nemo
We found you, ya little clown.
Swan princess
Somewhere in the madness of floating champagne bottles, rocket ships, and race cars was a floating, graceful swan.
Trampoline
How these guys managed to put up a giant, inflatable trampoline together is beyond us. It took about seven guys to carry into the water, but it was well worth it.
Magic dragon
And in the spirit of 4/20, Puff the Magic Dragon made a special appearance.
