Sure, Miami has no apple picking or colorful foliage, but we can still put a tropical twist on autumn. Enter the annual Fall Into Wellness Fair, a seasonal celebration that showcases wellness by way of food, physical activity, and traditional and alternative medicine vendors.
This year’s fair, presented by Miami-Dade County, will feature flamenco dancers (and audience participation), a display of the Miami Heat’s 2013 World Championship Trophy, a cooking demo by Sergio’s restaurant, a farmers’ market, chair massages, food trucks, giveaways, and cute, cuddly shelter pets up for adoption. With 60 vendors — from IKEA to Earthsave Miami to Mary Kay — at your fingertips, there’ll be plenty to entertain you.
Plus, don’t miss fitness demos by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces staff, because you could always use a little more movement in your life.
So celebrate the best season Miami-style: outdoors, with no gloves, hats, or scarves required. The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Stephen P. Clark Center (111 NW First St., Miami). Admission is free.
