Think of this Saturday’s Sweet Treats Ride as a scavenger hunt for cavities. Beginning at 10 a.m., hungry two-wheelers will meet at the Douglas Road Metrorail station. From there, the first stop will be Chocolate Fashion in the Gables for ganaches, truffles, and tiramisu; next on to cupcake mecca Buttercream for a free iced coffee; family-owned Whip ’n Dip for rich but heavily discounted ice cream; and then to Sun Juice Smoothie for a free four-ounce sample of frozen fruity goodness.

The ride will finish at the vegan-friendly Gourmet Cookie Café in Coconut Grove, proving you don’t have to yank on the teet of any animal or crack their babies over a bowl to enjoy baked goods. Emerge Miami organizers suggest you bring $10 to $15 to buy goodies at all the joints. C’mon, support your local dessert scene. Each stop on this culinary bike ride is independently owned.
