$7,500

As the summer sun sets over another humdrum afternoon of mojitos, mankinis, and a surgically enhanced shoreline, take a step outside Miami culture. Think fried, beefy, and exotic. No, we’re not talking about the cabana boy. Come revel in A Taste of España, a tantalizing flamenco-style celebration hosted by the Fairchild Palms volunteers as part of the Taste of the Tropics series.

Delight in authentic Spanish cuisine, sip sangria and regional beer and wine, and give your hips a seductive swing (or a drunken thrust) as the festival sizzles from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. After your feet switch from olé to no way, hop on the tram and take a sunset tour of the beautiful Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Tickets range from $40 to $55 in advance and can be purchased online at www.fairchildgarden.org.

Sat., June 23, 7:30-11 p.m.
