Attention all roosters: For an evening of retro entertainment, grab your best hen (or best rooster. . . hell, who’s judging?) and wing it over to, well. . . Cha Cha Rooster at Lord’s SoBe, where singer Glenda Grainger caws all those hits of yesteryear at 8:30 and 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night. She may not have been queen of the coop but she was certainly up there, appearing on the late-night TV shows of Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin and Dean Martin (yes, these were real people), as well as in the movie Hook, Line & Sinker starring Jerry Lewis. (Hint: “Jerry’s Kids.” He was once considered to be a comedian; the French actually thought he was funny. . . go figure.) Anyway, Glenda will ruffle your feathers during a three-course dinner of Cha Cha’s “Latin inspired Modern Miami eats,” which could include anything from beef or chicken antichuchos to braised short ribs with truffled celery root puree and artichoke confit.
Fridays, 8:30 & 10 p.m.; Saturdays, 8:30 & 10 p.m., 2011
